Velo Capital

The purpose of the Velo Capital business is to support the sustainable development of the real estate environments in which Velo operates by advising on flexible debt capital solutions in the form of senior and mezzanine loans to investors and developers. Velo Capital is the alternative real estate credit investment platform within Urban Partners. 

Velo Capital currently advises four funds managing approximately €1bn AUM, focusing on real estate credit investments in the German and Nordic markets. Velo Capital is in the process of raising capital for a new credit strategy across Northern Europe, with a focus on green financing and supporting the sustainable transition of urban spaces.
 

The Team

Velo Capital is today a team of 27 dedicated and ambitious professionals located in Germany and the Nordics. We are a diverse and entrepreneurial group with various backgrounds and experience in, e.g., construction, real estate investments, management consulting, asset management, architecture, and business development. In Germany, we have offices in both Frankfurt and Munich. We work closely across functions on all our projects and value spending time together socially.

The Role

We seek a student analyst to work with the investment team on business development and transactions at one of our German offices, preferably in Munich. The position is part-time (approx. 20h/week), with flexibility expected from both parties. Expected start date is September 1, 2025.

Tasks will include:

  • Produce the analytical fact base for the assessment of new loan investments and investment strategies
  • Analyze and discuss external business plans for investment strategies and individual assets
  • Conduct market research in relation to specific real estate market segments
  • Develop presentation materials to the Investment Committee
  • Analyze and model potential transactions with the investment team
  • Assist with site visits and draft asset management reports
  • Help with process management and automation tasks across functions

Qualifications

  • Nearing the end of a master’s degree in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Business or relevant Engineering fields
  • Ambitious, with a track record of previous internships and/or working student positions within the real estate, asset management or finance industry
  • Strong experience with Excel, cashflow modeling and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience and technical skills with MS Automate, MS Forms, Sharepoint, or other process automation tools
  • Strong analytical skills and an intuitive flair for numbers
  • Interest in strategy and investments
  • Motivated and purpose-driven team player
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team mindset
  • Fluent in English
